This piece was commissioned in 2017 by Dr. Paul Dickinson and the Kennesaw State University Tuba & Euphonium Ensemble and was premiered at the International Tuba and Euphonium Conference Southeastern Convention. Child's Play (a rhapsody on children's tunes) weaves together motives derived from several childhood tunes, but presented in a dramatically different setting. 'This Old Man', 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' and 'Rockabye Baby' are prominently used throughout the work.
