In engineering, a system is defined as "a set of connected things or parts forming a complex whole." This word perfectly sums up my concept in writing this piece, with many individual single notes and harmonies interacting and as a system creating something larger and more complex. System was commissioned by Mark and Karen Bowling for the University of Tennessee Alumni Trombone Choir.
