This work was written in 2012, and is comprised of continuous variations on the traditional English tune (credited to Ralph Vaughan Williams) 'Kingsfold' which is first found in the 1893 musicological collection 'English Country Tunes' then used by Vaughan Williams in the 1906 English Hymnal set to the hymn 'I Heard the Voice of Jesus Say'. The tune is varied and manipulated melodically, and given several different harmonic treatments and rhythmic feels.
